The Bombers played Nottingham Panthers on the 22nd March 1986.This game was shown live on Grandstand.Face off was 1pm.

correct it was nottingham panthers.the score was 5-5.imports Cal Land,Gord Sharpe and Jim Earle. Sharpe was signed in place of Stu Hammond,anyone remember him?

Paul Windridge testimonial Match.
As you are all now aware this is Spikes Testimonial Season. Sunday 3rd May 2009 Face Off 5pm. Adults £6, Children £4.
It is anticipated that the format will consist of a mixture of ex Bombers v current Bombers plus guests from other British Ice Hockey sides.
Spike first pulled on a Billingham Shirt 26 years ago when he joined the Billingham Bullets’. His senior career began at the age of 14 when he played up for the Bombers.
With only short spells at Whitley Warriors and Humberside Hawks, Spike became a part of the fixtures and fittings of Billingham Bombers over the last 23 years, he is well known, respected and liked throughout British Ice Hockey.
This game and other testimonial events are a chance to show our appreciation to a dedicated sportsman. It is planned to hold a function at the Swan following the game, more details on that to follow.
Please pencil the date in your diary, and keep visiting here for announcements of players past and present pulling on their skates to show their appreciation to Spike.

Billingham Bombers failed in their bid to bring play off hockey to Teesside. The battling Bombers bowed out in front of a capacity crowd in a 4 – 3 thriller at the hands of Whitley Warriors.

Billingham Bombers ran out 5- 2 winners against Blackburn Hawks in a physical encounter at Billingham Forum Ice Arena. However Bombers joy was short lived as Coventry Blaze pulled off an unexpected 3 – 2 win at Whitley Bay and the battle for the final play off slot remains deadlocked with the last games of the season being the decider next weekend.
